Round about this time of year, I change the blog’s visual theme.
I have no idea why I hadn’t found this theme in the past, as it sits nicely with my business card, and is so fresh and clean.
In Brisbane this morning it’s fresh, sunny and cool, and there’s a song for that!
Now play the video and sing along. Singing is very, very good for our Lung qi – a vital energy.
Traditional Chinese Medicine understands our Lungs are like a bellows which pumps qi through our bodies. Lung qi also oversees our immunity and assists with fluid metabolism. Grief and loss cause Lung qi to dissipate. So really, truly sing out loud!
Great video! Don’t know about my singing, but the vision was a sight for sore eyes – it is minus 25 where I am and the only water I see is in the form of huge chunks of ice!
I have been incorporating more pranayama into my daily life of late, and feel like a new person. I imagine this has a lot in common with the concept of lung qi.
I hope you are all doing well in Brisbane and things are starting to improve. Love the new look of your blog, too.
Hi Brigid
glad you love the new look.
Yes, I ageee with you about pranayama – perhaps the ancient yogis knew that people would prefer it to singing out loud :)
Yikes! -25!
I can’t comprehend weather like that.
Dear ol’ Brissie and other affected regions are coming along. Fortunately the clean-up and recovery hasn’t been hampered by more rain, and it remains uncharacteristically cool here.
What a delicious way of expressing the vital role our Lungs, often overlooked in the qi dynamic at the expense of the Spleen and Kidneys, play in our well-being and happiness. Thanks for the reminder.
I can hear you singing along already!
